Lucin CL Wheat

Technical Summary

•  Lucin CL wheat was developed at the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station and was released in 2011.  Plant Variety Protection was sought in 2011 and later issued as PV 201100464.

•  A hard red winter wheat with a tan chaff coloring.

•  Awned, fairly tall and resistant to dwarf bunt. 

•  Clearfield technology resistant to the herbicide ‘Beyond’ and therefore may be an option for annual grass, including gotagrass, control in wheat-fallow, or no-till systems.
