Production of Organic Syringomycin Seed Treatment

Utah State University has developed an organic fungicide using syringomycin that meets the USDA National Organic Program standards for organic seed treatment and is seeking companies interested in licensing opportunities. Althought the organic farming industry is a fast-growing segment of U.S. agriculture, effective organic-compatible fungicides are nearly nonexistent.
